Good news and bad news
The good news is that a friend of the Mercheum that wishes to remain anonymous has started submitting photos for exhibits, of items that are not in the permanent collection. I hope to begin posting these exhibits shortly.
The bad news is that the future of the “theme” that this website runs, Suffusion, is in doubt. I spent a long time evaluating themes when I first decided to use WordPress, and now I am going to have to go through the process again. Once a new theme is chosen, it will take a lot of work to switch over and test everything, and even then there will be differences in appearance and possibly functionality. I hope to put the changes off until after round 2 of the Toy Bloggers United (TBU) contest (which begins on Monday, May 4th, 2015, at 12:01am EST), but resent having to make the changes at all. I would rather be putting my effort into uploading larger images for Retina displays, or taking new pictures for future exhibits. This is one of the risks of using free software, and it will probably not be the last time that this website is affected by changes to WordPress, its themes, or its plugins. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience these changes will cause.
