Comics historian Mark Arnold posted a picture of his collection of Casper dolls to the Harvey Comics Facebook group. He recently posted pictures of the largest of the dolls for me to share as an exhibit. In gratitude, I am making this the first exhibit of the year, enjoy!
Well, the new year is firmly under way, and I continue to be busy. The small amount of time I have been able to devote to the Harvey Mercheum website recently has been devoted to updating WordPress and the various plugins I am using. I still have to update the theme, and hope to accomplish this soon.
I did make some changes to the Home page, including removing the slide show of exhibit featured images. I really enjoyed the slide show, and felt it gave a fun way to navigate to the exhibits, but it caused HTML validation errors and slow page load speeds. If anyone feels strongly about having a slide show, please let me know in the comments.
Happy New Year from the Harvey Mercheum! I would like to start this year with a very rare and unusual bit of Harvey history. Comics historian Mark Arnold recently posted this piece from his personal collection to the Harvey Comics Facebook group, and suggested I post it here as well. This item would not have been sold to the public, so I will post Mark’s photos below rather than making an exhibit page for it.
