There are still many Harvey pins to be documented, but I felt like posting something different. Today, I am exhibiting the first item on this website featuring Harvey’s cat and mouse team, Herman and Katnip. Unfortunately, only half of the pair is represented.
To see all of the Harvey Mercheum puzzles, use the “New Puzzle” post category on this website:

I have been incredibly busy since Free Comic Book Day. I do not want to reveal too many details yet, but I have registered for two classes, and been working on some very exciting plans for July! While this is all good, it is keeping me from posting. I hope to resolve that shortly.
How time flies! Today is the 15th anniversary of Free Comic Book Day (FCBD)! This is the closest thing there is to a holiday for comic book fans.
Much like last year, I will be visiting my friendly local comic shops, then seeing a movie. Last year it was the new Avengers movie, this year it is Captain America: Civil War! I hope all of you have as much fun today!
If you have been to Walt Disney World since 1999, you might be familiar with “pin trading” and the website PinPics. These are not the round pin-back buttons I featured previously, they are thick shaped metal painted with enamel. They do not have a safety-pin style fastener, they have a short straight pin with a back like a tie tack. They are typically sold on a backer card like jewelry, along with lanyards to attach them to. Much as I have tried, I have not found a word or phrase used to describe this style pin as opposed to pin-back buttons, other than just “pin”. If anyone knows what to call them, please leave a comment below!
