Katnip hand puppet exhibit posted
There are still many Harvey pins to be documented, but I felt like posting something different. Today, I am exhibiting the first item on this website featuring Harvey’s cat and mouse team, Herman and Katnip. Unfortunately, only half of the pair is represented.
Stuffed doll maker Gund made a series of hand puppets for Harvey. I have seen Casper, Spooky and Little Audrey. I seem to remember seeing an advertisement for them, perhaps in one of the comic books. The tag does not have a copyright date, but I believe these were made in the 1950’s. I do not know if they made Herman, but here is Katnip:
