It is official, the first-ever public display of the Harvey Mercheum permanent collection has been extended to the end of August! If you missed it, it is on display at the main branch of the Schenectady County Public Library (SCPL). There are two display cases, one as soon as you walk in the door on your right, and the other in the front corner past the circulation desk.
I have mentioned before that the Harvey comics merchandise produced actually appeals to a wide variety of collectors. Recently, Facebook user and vintage fabrics enthusiast Kimber Byars acquired a Casper pillowcase, and came to the Harvey Comics Facebook group to find out more about it.
I am very pleased to announce that I was recently interviewed by Chad A. Burdette for The Comics Multiverse. The Comics Multiverse is a comics blog feature on the website of one of our local newspapers, the Times Union. You can read the interview here:
I would like to thank Mr. Burdette for his time and kind words, and I would like to remind everyone that there are still two weeks left to view the first-ever public exhibit of the Harvey Mercheum at the main branch of the Schenectady County Public Library.
I posted back in May about how I had registered for two classes, and was working on plans for July. I had to drop one of the classes, but the plans have become reality! I am very pleased to announce that part of the Harvey Mercheum permanent collection is on display at the main branch of the Schenectady County Public Library (SCPL) for the month of July. This is in support of the second Electric City Comic Con, to be held on Saturday, July 9th.
