Today I am exhibiting the the last of the three sticker boards that are in the permanent collection, and the last that I know exist. This is one set of items that would not upset me to find out that there were others. The artwork is so colorful, and yet slightly crazed and off-model. I really do want to open them up and play with them. Maybe some day I will find a used one for sale cheap somewhere and buy it for that purpose.
It figures. I post about Jetpack and how I am relying upon it more heavily, then realize I am not getting email notifications of new posts. I have disconnected and reconnected the plugin, hopefully this post will send an email notification…
UPDATE: I did not get notified. I will have to do some more investigation…

I had mentioned that I was disappointed in the speed results of my changes, but still felt that I was moving in the right direction. Reading these posts reinforced this feeling. And based on the comment form change, I have re-enabled comments on posts more than 30 days old. New readers, please feel free to comment on older posts, and welcome to the Harvey Mercheum!
Have you noticed any of the differences? Have you tried the new comments system or the new Contact the Curator form? Now would be a great time to do so!

Today’s exhibit is the second of the three sticker boards that I am aware of. I am very surprised to note that this is the first exhibit featuring Little Dot! Also of note is that this is the only one of the three in the permanent collection that has the text “DISTRIBUTED EXCLUSIVELY BY SMC INTERNATIONAL INC, N.Y. N.Y.” on the back of the cardboard hanger.
I love the bright, colorful graphics on this board, and it is hard to resist the temptation to rip it open and let Richie’s friends have a day at the circus!
I realized it has been a long time since I posted an exhibit of an item of “questionable” origin. I would like to remind everyone that the purpose of the Harvey Mercheum is to feature merchandise depicting Harvey characters, not to decide whether royalties were paid or should have been paid on the sale of said merchandise. Regardless of whether today’s exhibit is a “bootleg”, or unlicensed, product or not, it is certainly one of the items that I would love to rip open and play with!
Sorry for not posting last weekend. I had really intended to, but got sick. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Not a great start to the year, it’s March already and this will be the third exhibit. I am going to have to try to do better.
