I am going on a trip soon, my first in a long time, so packing and suitcases have been top of mind recently. Fortunately, one of my most recent acquisitions fits this frame of mind nicely! And with my photo studio set up, I was able to take the necessary pictures to exhibit it.
Today’s exhibit is a small travel case made out of vinyl over cardboard, a construction technique popular before plastic took over everything. I am guessing it is from the 1950’s or 1960’s, but there is no year printed on it. It is not in pristine condition, and for that I apologize, but it is the only example I have seen. I am really curious as to whether it originally came with accessories of some sort inside, plastic boxes or a mirror or something.
