Today is International Museum Day! This day is organized by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), which published the PDF I read last August about running a museum.

The theme for the day for 2017 is “Museums and contested histories: Saying the unspeakable in museums”. This is a very important topic, but fortunately not one that affects us here at the Harvey Mercheum. I would still like to take this time to recognize the day, and to express my appreciation to ICOM for the resources they make available.
