I am not sure what made me start acknowledging “special days”, but I have been doing it almost since the start of the Mercheum Blog. While working on the big project gathering data on every post made, I decided to make a list of what days I had acknowledged. I then summarized the list, and broke the result into two categories:

Acknowledge every year

• World Intellectual Property Day
• Free Comic Book Day
• International Museum Day
• World Wide Web Day
• World Photo Day
• Museum Day Live!
• National Comic Book Day
• Local Comic Shop Day

Acknowledge with related exhibit

• Record Store Day
• International Tabletop Day
• National Pin-back Button Day
• Official holidays, such as Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving etc.

I intend to use these lists to help keep me on track with posting in the future. Are there any days you feel should be included that are not? Should I stop acknowledging special days? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
