Today we have the three sticker boards turned into Jigidi puzzles, enjoy!
As usual, my timing is terrible. It was just back in September that I created a Public Status Page using Pingdom, and now I have had to take it down. As of February 6th, Pingdom discontinued all free services, including the ability to serve that page. The link has been removed from the footer, apologies for any inconvenience this causes.
I just read a great post on the Intelligent Collector website:
While some of the people interviewed were concerned with the value or authenticity of items purchased, I liked the quotes that emphasized buying what you care about. Shortly after I started the Harvey Mercheum website, I started buying every new Harvey-related item I could find. I quickly ran out of money, and did not even put a dent in the list of items I had found. I now buy items I feel are unique or otherwise important parts of the history of Harvey Comics. As a computer programmer by trade, I suspected that this would not be the case, and I was correct. After the update, all my posts and pages gave errors:Continue reading →
I reached the same conclusions they did. I spend money on web hosting with Siteground, and on domain name registration with namecheap, but use the free Weaver Xtreme theme, free plugins, free CDN services from Cloudflare and free SSL from Let’s Encrypt. This seems to be a reasonable balance to me.
Well, I did it again. I was planning a big exhibit for this weekend to celebrate the 125th item posted. Then I reviewed my notes, and realized I had only counted one of the two Little Lotta Mini-maquettes. This means that the Artist Proof of the Richie Rich Mini-maquette was actually the 125th exhibit. I am actually rather happy that this great exhibit ended up being an important milestone, I just wish I had acknowledged it.Continue reading →
